Silva Forest Foundation logo The Silva Forest Foundation are ecoforestry consultants located in the Slocan Valley. They are the authors of An Ecosystem Based Plan for the Slocan Valley. The 'Silva Plan' was commissioned by the CORE process and has been endorsed by the SVWA as a means of making a sustainable living while protecting water values. A version of the plan may be downloaded from Silva's web site as multiple .zip files.

Watertalk is the host of the Slocan Valley Watershed Alliance and other watershed protection organisations.
  • Slocan Valley Watershed Alliance - The SVWA is a coalition of local watershed groups from Hills to South Slocan. Since its formation, the Alliance has worked to protect water quality, quantity and timing of flow, and advocates for ecosystem based planning for the entire Slocan Valley.
