As the bulldozer turned around and slowly made its way up the Old Sandon Road, many of the people gathered to protest roadbuilding and logging in the New Denver Flats were visibly saddened, and a number were crying. The difference in mood between the protestors at Old Sandon Road and the 50 cheering counter-protestors across Highway 6 was very noticeable.
